UAS Range Manager Darryl Abling named to ARM Advisory Group

Darryl Abling

Pendleton UAS Range Manager Darryl Abling has been named to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s ARM UAS Advisory Group.  ARM (Atmospheric Radiation Measurement) is a division of the Department of Energy, and the highly esteemed advisory group is made up of accomplished subject matter experts from respected research institutions all over the United States.

PNNL has been testing an atmospheric research vehicle, ArticShark, at the Pendleton UAS range for more than 7 years, and Darryl has worked closely with the company from the very beginning.

“The fact that PNNL reached out to Darryl to serve on this advisory committee just shows what high regard they hold him in,” Airport and Economic Development Director Steve Chrisman said. “It’s pretty awesome to see Darryl and the Pendleton UAS Range (PUR) listed amongst some of the most learned UAS researchers in the Country.”
