The City of Pendleton was once again a recipient of a Safety Award from the League of Oregon Cities.  The award was presented to the Mayor and City Council members at the annual conference last week.  The award recognizes the City for maintaining a safe work environment for its employees by achieving one of the lowest injury rates.

The Silver award is the “excellent” standard and means the injury frequency rate was lower than 3.65 for 200,000 work hours.

“This award represents a lot of hard work from an active Safety Committee, as well as managers and employees of the City who are dedicated to maintaining a safe workplace for all its employees” said City Manager Robb Corbett, “and I’m very proud of their efforts”.
