Mark Mulvihill of the InterMountain Education Service District (IMESD) presented a Public Safety Award to Police Chief Stuart Roberts at the City Council meeting Tuesday night.  Mulvihill said that in light of so many tragic incidents of violence on school campuses across the nation, IMESD felt they had to get proactive about addressing security needs for area schools. He said that Chief Roberts was contacted because of his expertise, and was willing to help them with their evaluation.  He said that Stuart conducted a security analysis of every school district.  As a result of their efforts, not only are the children of our schools safer because of the measures taken to implement recommended security measures, but IMESD received recognition for their actions in the form of a Public Safety Award.  He said that the credit for this had to be shared with Chief Roberts.

Congratulations to IMESD for the steps they've taken to protect our kids, and thanks to Chief Roberts for his dedication, professionalism and his willingness to share his services with the community!
