Review of Draft Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Master Plans

Release Date:
05/13/2015

City Council will be holding a public hearing on adopting the Water, Sewer, and Storm Master Plans, along with amending the Comprehensive Plan at their meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.  City Council meets at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 501 SW Emigrant Avenue.  The draft Water System Master Plan and Executive Summary have been updated based on comments received from the Oregon Health Authority – Drinking Water Section.

The Master Plans were a two-year effort to comprehensive assess operation & maintenance needs, renewal and replacement needs of existing and aging infrastructure, capacity needs for serving the entire Urban Growth Boundary (UGB), and identifying a list of capital improvement projects and cost projections for the next 20-year period and for full build-out of the UGB.  All three Master Plans make recommendations for funding consideration, but no funding increases are being implemented at this time.

A publicly announced City Council work session reviewing the Master Plans with City Council was held on Saturday, February 28th, from 8 am to noon.

Planning Commission held a public hearing on April 16 and May 7, 2015 in regards to making recommendations to City Council for amending the Comprehensive Plan at a future City Council meeting.  Planning Commission did recommend adoption of the Master Plans as elements satisfying Goal 11 (Public Facility Plans) of the Comprehensive Plan.

The draft Master Plans, Executive Summaries, and City Council Master Planning Workshop Presentation can be found in the Water Division section of Public Works under Documents & More Info at the bottom of the page.
